Grow classic garden mint with our fine variety of Mint Seeds. They produce mint with a unique flavour and refreshing taste. You can use it in tea, sauce, or summer punch. Grow it indoors or outdoors. It is best grown in large containers. Indoor Sowing: Sow March to April or all year round. Sow thinly in pots or trays of moist compost and cover lightly with compost. Firm gently, and keep moist and warm. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Growing on: thin plants to further pots or trays if necessary. To grow outdoors, stand outside for a few days in late May (avoid frosts), then transplant to large patio containers or into the garden, spacing 30cm apart. To grow indoors, transplant to a 15cm pot of compost and place pots in a light, airy location. Outdoor sowing: sow thinly in the growing position and cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. When large enough thin as necessary. Cut the leaves as required once plants are established. Tip: if planting out into a border, contain the spreading roots by planting into a bottomless pot sunk into the ground. Average contents: 1000 seeds.
