Chalkboard Paint

Features

Chalkboards aren’t just for classrooms! They provide the perfect place for you to write down your goals, daily to-do lists, favourite quotes, cute little texts for family and friends, and more.

Chalkboard paints have great features that make them an ideal option for various purposes. First, they’re easy to apply. Whether you have done it before or are about to paint for the first time, you shouldn’t have any trouble!

You only need a brush for small areas, or a roller if you apply the paint on a large surface. We also have chalkboard sprays if that sounds easier for you. Once applied, the paint will dry quickly, and your surface will be ready to use quickly.

They’re formulated with low odour, making them pleasant to use even in indoor spaces, so you don't have to worry about strong smells lingering in your home or workspace.

Benefits

Creative Projects

Chalkboard paint can open up multiple creative projects for kids and families alike. You can design personalised message boards, custom artwork, or even educational charts for kids. It’s a fun and interactive way to decorate your space and engage family members in creative activities.

Easy Maintenance

Lastly, you don't have to worry about cleaning and maintaining a chalkboard-painted surface. This is probably the easiest part. Just wipe off the chalk with a damp cloth whenever you need to update your notes.

FAQs

Can you just paint over the chalkboard paint?

Before applying the new coat, make sure to clean the surface thoroughly and lightly sand it to create a smooth base.

Is it permanent?

Chalkboard paint isn't permanent. You can easily remove or paint over it if you want to. While it provides a durable surface for writing and drawing, it can still be covered with another type of paint when no longer needed.

Is it better to brush or roll?

Both brushing and rolling are great ways to apply paint. A brush is ideal for painting a small surface area that needs detailed work. Rollers are often used for larger surfaces to make it faster and easier.

What's the difference between chalkboard paint and chalk paint?

Chalkboard paint turns surfaces into chalkboards where you can write or draw with chalk. On the other hand, chalk paint is used to give furniture and other items a matte, chalky finish and is not intended for writing.
