The product uses an insulating tab to preserve the life of the batteries. Pull the plastic tab and remove prior to use. Operate light by switching ON/OFF switch to the ON position and back to OFF to turn lights OFF. Remove the retaining screw with an appropriate screwdriver (not supplied), and open the battery cover. Remove the old batteries and dispose of them safely. Insert new batteries into the compartment, ensuring the '+' positive pole of batteries is placed with the corresponding symbol. Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity. Replace the battery compartment cover and screw it back in place. This product is covered by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations. It should not be discarded with normal household waste but taken to your local collection centre for recycling. For further information, please contact your local authority or retailer.
