As this product is supplied with fitted batteries, before first use, you will need to remove the battery isolator tab. This can be done by gently pulling the protruding isolator tab from the battery compartment. To operate the lights, switch the on/off switch to the on position. To replace the batteries, switch the on/off switch to the off position, remove the retaining screw with an appropriate screwdriver (not supplied), and open the battery cover. Remove the old batteries and dispose off safely. Insert the new batteries into the compartment according to the diagram of the inside of the battery compartment. Re-fit the battery compartment cover and secure the retaining screw. Wipe clean with a soft cloth. Warning: For decoration only. Take care when hanging this item against painted walls. Do not mix different types of batteries. Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity. Insert new batteries ensuring '+' positive poles of batteries are placed as markings shown. For best performance only the recommended batteries or their equivalent are to be used. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Exhausted batteries are to be removed immediately. Do not dispose off used batteries in household waste, instead return them to the designated recycling facility. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
