- Golden yellow flowers appear in summer for vibrant display
Bring a splash of golden brilliance to your pond or bog garden as Thompson and Morgan Iris Pseudacorus Variegata Plant Pot 9cm 2 Pack unveils its creamy-yellow and green striped leaves, followed by stunning golden yellow blooms in summer. Loved for adding ornamental charm to damp borders and water features, this hardy perennial remains less vigorous than its wild cousins, making it ideal for controlled planting. Awarded the RHS AGM, it thrives in sun or semi-shade, with its striking foliage creating year-round interest and its flowers stealing the show as the seasons change. How to Grow: Plant in fertile, damp, acid or neutral soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter. Position in full sun or semi-shade. Suitable for boggy borders or shallow pond margins with the crown up to 15cm below water level. Maintain consistently moist soil and water during dry periods. Divide overcrowded clumps in autumn after flowering. Mulch around the base in spring to retain moisture. Cut back pond-grown plants to just above the water surface in autumn. Handle with care, as the plant can irritate skin and eyes and is harmful if eaten. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary the results. Image may be included for illustration of supply, but can vary due to seasonality changes, for example, deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months. Decorative pots are not supplied.
