- Striking cream and green foliage for seasonal interest
- Hardy perennial suits ponds and boggy borders
- Golden yellow summer blooms brighten outdoor spaces
Bring a splash of colour and texture to water gardens or boggy borders with Thompson and Morgan Iris Pseudacorus Variegata Plant Pot 9cm, where creamy-yellow and green striped foliage emerges in spring before stunning golden yellow blooms appear in summer. Hardy and less vigorous than typical species, this iris is ideal for controlled planting in garden ponds or damp spots, offering reliable performance and decorative impact. It thrives in moist soil and brightens up shallow pond margins or bog gardens, making it a standout choice for ornamental displays. Growing Instructions: Plant in fertile, damp, acid or neutral soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter. Position in full sun or semi-shade. Suitable for boggy borders or shallow pond margins with the crown up to 15cm below water level. Maintain consistently moist soil and water during dry periods. Divide overcrowded clumps in autumn after flowering. Mulch around the base in spring to retain moisture. Cut back pond-grown plants to just above the water surface in autumn. Handle with care as the plant can irritate skin and eyes and is harmful if eaten. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g., deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months). Decorative pots are not supplied.
