Grape 'Chardonnay' is a hardy shrub, a popular, classic wine grape producing bunches of yellow-green, edible fruit with a deliciously sweet flavour, which ripen late in the season. In the UK, this variety is best grown undercover to protect crops from early frosts and ensure sufficient time for them to ripen. This variety is self-fertile and will fruit reliably in the UK. It also makes an attractive feature as its foliage transforms to shades of orange, red and yellow in autumn. Chardonnay is a popular variety and makes delicious light white juice if sweetened. Position: Full sun. Height: Up to 1.8m when fully established. Spread: Up to 1.5m when fully established. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
