Thompson and Morgan Blueberry Vaccinium Flamingo Plant Pot 9cm

Enhance your outdoor design with the aromatic Thompson and Morgan Blueberry Vaccinium Flamingo Plant Pot 9cm. Blueberry ‘Flamingo’ brings a splash of colour and flavour to patios and small gardens with its unique pink-mottled foliage that matures to bright green and cream before rewarding you with juicy, sweet fruits each summer. You’ll love how its compact size suits containers, while the self-fertile nature means you can enjoy a harvest even in limited spaces, though pairing with another blueberry boosts yields. Crimson autumn leaves add seasonal interest, and care is simple with supplied instructions, making it a delightful choice for gardeners looking to buy a blueberry flamingo plant 9cm pot online. Blueberries require a well-drained, acid soil in a sunny or semi-shaded position. In areas where acid soil does not naturally occur, grow blueberry plants in patio containers using a mix of ericaceous compost and John Innes No. 3. If possible, blueberries should be watered with rainwater because the lime contained in tap water will reduce the acidity in the soil over time. Blueberries will begin to produce fruit in their third year. As fruits begin to develop, cover the plants with netting to protect the berries from birds. From their third year, begin to prune out the oldest stems each autumn to promote new growth and maintain a healthy plant framework. Position: Sun or semi shade Height Up To: 100cm (39”).
