Folding Tables

Folding dining tables to save space

A folding dining table is one of those bits of home furniture that saves space and can be used in all types of situations. They're often used in smaller homes where space is tight, and in homes where impromptu dinner guests often arrive! Whether you need a permanent dining table you can tuck away when it's not in use, or a portable table that accommodates all the family, we have it here. All the folding dining tables feature sturdy, heavy-duty frames - some with folding legs - so setup takes just a few seconds.

Choose from wood-effect, white, oak, and so much more to match your existing dining room furniture.

Drop leaf and extending styles

A drop leaf design is a smart choice if you're limited on space but need a few extra seats from time to time. The end flaps fold down flat when it's just you, then lift and lock into place when you're hosting a group. It's the same principle as an extendable dining table, but in a more compact package. Pair with stacking chairs for a full set that's easy to store and easy to pull out.

Sizes, shapes and colours for every home

When it's just the two of you, a small square folding table or compact round folding table slots perfectly into a kitchen corner. Feeding a family of four or six? Look for a rectangular drop leaf or fold-out table with adjustable height options. We have shades for every interior, whether it's bold or neutral that takes your fancy. We have dining room table sets for all to enjoy!

FAQs

How does a folding table work?

Folding tables tend to have a folding leg mechanism, where the legs turn inward flat against the underside, then unfold and lock into position again when needed. Drop leaf styles keep the legs fixed and fold the tabletop sections down instead, giving you the flexibility to extend the surface as and when required.

What are the best chairs to go with a folding dining table?

Stacking chairs and folding chairs go best with a folding table, as they can easily be stored alongside the table when not in use. Make sure to check the table height and compare it against your favourite chair, particularly if you're looking at adjustable height tables.
