Big and beautiful red peony blooms, sharing the name of the garden classic 'Sarah Bernhardt', but a variety in its own right. This peony produces an abundance of scented flowers around the start of summer. Vibrant petals when young, in pink-purple with hints of red, only becoming pinker with age and revealing glowing yellow centres. Truly easy to grow, thriving in well-drained soil in a spot where it can soak up the sun. Stretching up to almost 1m tall, with double blooms each around 15-20cm across, for a colourful and impressive display. Supplied as a bare root peony, with 2/3 eyes, ready to plant.
