Unlike virtually all other varieties of Wisteria, many of which can take up to five years to flower, this variety will reliably flower in its first year. Lilac flowers will bloom throughout May, filling the air with the perfume of spring flowers. Sometimes, when conditions are just right, and there is a particularly good run of fine weather, you'll find that this variety will often produce a second flush of flowers in the summer, giving you a bonus show of bloom. In its early years, it will remain compact and manageable, making a brilliant patio plant perfect for growing in a pot. Eventually, it will reach a height of 3m and will spread to around 2m if left un-pruned. However, it can be maintained at half this size and still yield masses of flowers every spring from this year onwards. Supplied as an established plant in a 15cm pot, ready to plant out. Please note the height of the delivered plants will vary with the time of year. All heights given include the height of the growing container.
