Thompson & Morgan Zinnia Elegans Candy Cane Mixed Seeds

Bring a burst of summer joy to garden beds with Thompson & Morgan Zinnia Elegans Candy Cane Mixed Seeds that promise a dazzling display of pinks, reds and oranges from early summer right through to October. Perfect for cut flower arrangements, these vibrant blooms thrive in full sun and reach up to 75cm tall, offering months of colour and charm. Supplied as a packet of 100 seeds, they're easy to sow indoors or directly outdoors once the soil warms, making them a rewarding choice for gardeners of all levels. How to grow: Sow seeds from March to May in individual pots or module trays of moist seed compost and cover seeds with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place container in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 20-25C (68-77F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 10-24 days. Can also be sown once the soil has warmed, 3mm (1/8 inch) deep in drills 30cm (12 inch) apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 23cm (9 inch) apart. When well grown, gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 23-30cm (9-12 inch) apart, taking care not to damage the root system. Product Specifications: Half Hardy Annual. Position: full sun. Height: up to 75cm (30 inch). Spread: up to 30cm (12 inch). Supplied as Zinnia elegans ‘Candy Mix’ 1 packet (100 seeds).
