This Japanese Wisteria Floribunda Domino makes a worthy choice for sunny walls and fences. The fragrant, lilac-blue, pea-like flowers are borne in short racemes of around 20cm long in May and June. During the summer months, the woody, clockwise-twining stems are cloaked in attractive pinnate foliage. Flowering profusely from a young age, Wisteria Floribunda Domino is reliable and showy. Grow Japanese Wisteria Floribunda Domino plants in a sunny or semi-shaded site in any moist, well-drained soil. Wisteria flower buds can be damaged by hard spring frosts, so choose a sheltered position. Prior to planting, add plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the soil. Provide the twining stems with an appropriate and sturdy support, such as a strong trellis or wires attached to walls and pergolas. Feed and water regularly until fully established. In autumn or spring, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant. Prune Wisteria in July and again in February. During the first two years, prune wisteria to create a framework of permanent stems. Tie in selected lateral shoots to sturdy supports and cut back unwanted growth. Once the desired framework has been created, continue pruning wisteria twice a year to contain the plant's growth within its allotted space. Ideal For: Patio, Cottage Gardens, Scented Gardens, Specimen Plant Hardiness: Hardy Position In: Sun or Semi-Shade Height: Up to 600cm. Spread: Up to 300cm.
