Choose a sunny or semi-shaded position when growing Thompson and Morgan Weigela Ebony and Ivory and plant in any well-drained soil. Incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting, and position them at the same depth as they were planted in their pots.
