Brighten garden beds and borders with the radiant golden blooms of the Thompson and Morgan Tulip Darwin Hybrid Golden Apeldoorn Autumn Planting Bulb 16 Pack. Tulip Darwin Hybrid Golden Apeldoorn bulbs burst with giant golden blooms and dramatic black centres, creating a dazzling focal point in any garden. Plant in groups for a striking spring display and enjoy their vibrant colour both outdoors and as cut flowers indoors. Reaching up to 50cm tall with a 10cm spread, these bulbs thrive in sunny, sheltered spots with well-drained soil. With easy planting and care, you'll find them a rewarding choice for borders or flower arrangements; just remember their bulbs can irritate skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten. Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. However, some people have had strong allergic reactions to Tulip flowers. If touching them causes a rash, numbness, etc., then Tulip flowers should not be eaten. Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well-drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs, avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm and at a distance of 13cm apart. After flowering, deadhead the faded tulip flowers and allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in summer. Caution: Tulip bulbs are an irritant to skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten. Product Specifications: Position: Full Sun. Height: Up to 50cm. Spread: Up to 10cm.
