Product Information

  • Compact plant reaches up to 45cm height and spread
  • Dwarf bush habit means no staking or side-shooting required
  • Pack contains approximately 8 seeds
Experience a tomato explosion with the Thompson & Morgan Tomato Red Profusion Seeds. It is recognised as one of the finest container-grown tomato varieties, producing an abundant yield of sweet cherry tomatoes, around 20g per plant. This neat and compact plant is well-suited for growing in baskets and containers, with versatility for greenhouse cultivation if needed. No side-shooting is required, making it easy to care for. For successful greenhouse cultivation, sow seeds from February to March, or for outdoor use, from March to April. Surface sow the seeds on a quality free-draining, damp seed sowing mix, lightly covering them with a fine layer of compost or vermiculite. Place the seed trays in a propagator at a stable temperature of 15-20°C until germination, which typically occurs within 7 to 14 days. Once seedlings develop two true leaves, transplant them into individual 7.5cm pots and grow at a minimum temperature of 15°C. When the tomato plants thrive, transfer them into baskets and containers. After the last frost, gradually acclimatise the plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before placing them in a sheltered spot with full sun. Regular watering is essential to maintain even moisture in the compost, and feeding with a high potash plant food is recommended once the first truss of fruit appears. Dwarf bush varieties do not require staking or side shooting, and tomatoes can be harvested from July to September as they ripen. This product comes as one packet containing 8 tomato seeds, with growing and care instructions included.
