Thompson and Morgan Sunflower Topolino Seeds

Bring a burst of sunshine to any garden space with the Thompson and Morgan Sunflower Topolino Seeds that promise vibrant yellow petals and striking dark centres, creating a cheerful display whether planted in borders or containers. Sunflower ‘Topolino’ offers a hardy annual that’s fun and easy for all ages to grow, thriving in full sun and well-drained soil for a classic look that never goes out of style. With germination in as little as 21 days, you’ll enjoy watching these dwarf sunflowers flourish, adding a joyful touch to patios, small gardens or window boxes. Direct sow Sunflower seeds outdoors where they are to grow from April to May. Choose a position in full sun on well-drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly, at a depth of one centimetre in drills spaced 45cm apart and cover the seed with its own depth of soil to exclude light. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Germination usually takes up to 21 days. When sunflower seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 45cm apart. Alternatively, sow indoors in individual 7.5cm pots from March to April at a temperature of 20-25°C (68-77F). Once germinated, grow sunflower plants on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed. Product Specifications: Position in: Full sun.
