It is understandable why this plant is so popular, it possesses big, beautiful, glossy green foliage that contrast well with the white of the elegantly shaped petals that appear in spring and can last for several months. It also possesses the ever-so-helpful ability of air filtering, giving you a stunning plant with a very handy practical application. Position the Peace Lily in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators. Average room temperatures of 18C (65F) - 24C (75F) are preferable, but plants will tolerate temperatures down to 12C (55F). Spathiphyllum requires a bright spot in filtered light. Position away from the direct glare of the sun, as this may scorch the foliage. Water frequently throughout the summer to maintain evenly moist compost. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the compost to dry out slightly between waterings. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Peace Lilies will benefit from regular misting to increase humidity around the foliage.
