Product Information

  • Supplied as 1 seed packet with 15 seeds included
  • Grows up to 45cm tall with a 15cm spread
  • Requires full sun and moist well-drained soil
Bring a burst of golden sunshine to your garden with masses of vibrant blooms from this Thompson & Morgan Sisyrinchium Palmifolium Canary Seeds, perfect for brightening sunny borders and creating low-maintenance displays. Sisyrinchium palmifolium 'Canary' forms neat clumps of slender foliage that showcase its stunning yellow flowers all summer, making it a striking choice for cottage-style and contemporary gardens alike. You'll find it easy to care for, needing just occasional watering until established and a simple trim in autumn to keep things tidy, while its compact habit suits smaller spaces or the front of borders. Supplied as one seed packet containing 15 seeds, it's an ideal way to add unique colour and interest to your outdoor space. How to grow: Sow Sisyrinchium seed from February to April at a depth of 1.5mm in a free-draining, damp seed compost, and cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place container in a propagator or seal inside a plastic bag and place at a temperature of 10-15C (50-59F) until after germination. Germination can be extremely erratic and may take from 30-180 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into trays or 7.5cm (3 inch) pots and grow them on in cooler conditions. When plants are well grown, and all risk of frost pas passed, gradually acclimatize them to outdoor conditions over 7 – 10 days before planting out in any moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Water Sisyrinchium plants regularly until they are fully established. Sisyrinchium requires virtually no maintenance. Cut back the old foliage to just above ground level in autumn to maintain a tidy appearance. Product Specifications: Position in: full sun. Height: Up to 45cm. Spread: Up to 15cm. Supplied as 1 x Seed Packet (15 Seeds). Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
