Thompson & Morgan Sempervivum Mixed Potted Plant 5.5cm 3 Pack

Discover the beauty of Sempervivum 'Mixed', a collection of superb evergreen succulents that create a stunning living carpet in your garden. These hardy perennials boast dense rosettes of foliage that come in a fabulous range of forms and colours, with some adorned in delicate spidery webbing. As summer arrives, mature rosettes may surprise you with panicles of star-shaped flowers, adding an extra layer of charm. While individual rosettes fade after flowering, they swiftly give way to small offsets, ensuring a continuous display of these captivating plants. Commonly known as Houseleeks, Sempervivum are the epitome of low-maintenance gardening. Once established, they are extremely drought tolerant, making them perfect for rockeries, wall crevices, and alpine troughs. These neat succulents also thrive as house plants, brightening any windowsill indoors. Standing at a height of 8cm (3") with a spread of 30cm (12"), they require sharply drained, gritty soil in full sun. For hairy species, protection from cold, wet conditions is beneficial. Throughout the growing season, these Houseleeks need little attention, and in late spring, dividing overcrowded clumps encourages their spread, ensuring a flourishing display. How to Grow: Light: Full sun for best growth. Temperature: Hardy, but protect hairy species from cold, wet conditions. Watering: Extremely drought tolerant once established. Feeding: Minimal feeding requirements, thrive in poor soil. Humidity: Drought-resistant, suitable for dry environments.
