Rosa Everglow Ruby produces beautiful crimson flowers on a compact, well-branched shrub that is perfect for patio containers, courtyards or smaller borders. Each flower has a star at the centre that starts bright yellow and crisp white. This magical new cultivar is self-cleaning, meaning it drops its blooms once they have faded – no deadheading needed! Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting roses, and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole. Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses, it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late summer, begin pruning climbing roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged stems. For the first two years, the remaining stems should be trained horizontally on wires. From the third year, the main stems can be reduced to maintain the plant within the available growing space. Side shoots should be reduced to three buds. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning. Product Specifications: Position in: Full Sun. Height Up to 80cm.
