Bring a splash of citrus colour to your garden with Thompson & Morgan Poppy Iceland Mixed Seeds that promise vibrant, saucer-shaped blooms on elegant long stems, perfect for both borders and bouquets. You'll find these reliable poppies easy to grow, thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, with their cheerful flowers reaching up to thirty-five centimetres in height and spreading up to thirty centimetres. Each packet contains around 1900 seeds, giving you plenty to create a lively display or share the joy with friends and family. How to grow: Sow January to February or August to September. Germinate at 18-20C (64-68F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag until after germination which takes 14-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 15cm (6in) apart. Alternatively, sow in a cool greenhouse or conservatory in late summer/early autumn. Grow on cool in full light and water sparingly before planting out the following spring. Prefers a light, well drained soil in full sun. The generous packet includes 1900 seeds.
