- Blue flower spikes from midsummer into early autumn
- Heart-shaped glossy leaves provide structure and reflection
- Clump-forming habit suits both large and small pond margins
Bring a splash of vivid blue to pond margins with Thompson and Morgan Pontederia Cordata Plant Pot 9cm. Its tall flower spikes bloom from midsummer right through to early autumn, offering a valuable late-season nectar source for pollinators. Heart-shaped, glossy foliage creates a lush, structured look above the water while the plant’s slow-spreading, clump-forming habit makes it easy to manage in both large wildlife ponds and compact water features. Thriving in full sun and hardy in local conditions, it’s a low-maintenance choice for those wanting to add lasting colour, height and movement to wildlife-friendly or ornamental water gardens. How to Grow Instructions: Light: Prefers full sun for best flowering. Temperature: Hardy; protect in very exposed sites. Watering: Grows submerged; ensure water depth remains up to 20cm above crown. Feeding: Use aquatic plant feed tablets in spring for a flowering boost. Humidity: Naturally high in pond environments; no special care needed. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months). Decorative pots are not supplied.
