- Compact growth suits smaller ponds and marginal planting schemes
- Glossy heart-shaped leaves form dense clumps for structure
- Hardy perennial produces white starry blooms all summer
Bring a refreshing burst of crisp white blooms to pond edges, lighting up your water garden with Thompson and Morgan Pontederia Cordata Alba Plant Pot 9cm 2 Pack. Compact and hardy, this aquatic perennial forms dense clumps of glossy, heart-shaped foliage that add structure and contrast, making it perfect for smaller ponds or marginal planting. Once established, you'll find it easy to care for, needing just a trim of old leaves in autumn to keep things tidy. Plant at the pond's edge in a sunny spot and enjoy the seasonal texture and colour it delivers. How to Grow: Plant in baskets at the edge of ponds, submerged to a maximum depth of 20cm below the water surface. Choose a sunny position for best flowering. Pontederia requires little maintenance once established; simply cut back old foliage in autumn to keep the plant neat. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary the results. Image may be included for illustration of supply, but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months). Decorative pots are not supplied.
