Thompson and Morgan Potentilla fruticosa Red Ace is compact enough to be grown in pots and containers on your patio but hardy enough to be included in beds or borders in the garden. However you choose to display it, Potentilla fruticosa Red Ace is impressive and makes an excellent addition to your garden. The foliage is densely packed and dark green, contrasting with the bright red flowers that appear in summer and continue to emerge through the autumn months. The blooms gradually fade in the sun to a burnt orange colour, giving the appearance of a two-toned shrub. Grow Thompson and Morgan Potentilla fruticosa Red Ace in full sun in any well-drained soil. Feed and water regularly until fully established. Pruning should be after flowering, remove any dead, damaged or diseased stems before cutting back the flowering stems to within 2.5cm of the previous year’s growth. Ideal For: Hedges, Ground Cover, Cottage Gardens, Alpine and Rockery, Wildlife Gardens. Hardiness: Hardy. Position In: Full sun Height: Up to 100cm. Spread: Up to 100cm.
