With dramatic dark green-bronze foliage edged with a contrasting pink, Phormium Pink Stripe is a particularly striking variety of this pretty evergreen perennial. You’ll love its softly arching leaves and upright habit, which shows off the colours of each leaf wonderfully. Each summer, maroon coloured tubular blooms form, giving a stunning display. Ideal for patio containers, cottage garden borders and coastal gardens, this New Zealand Flax looks particularly pretty when offset with gravel. Your plant will appreciate full sun and, at times, some shade. In the winter, it will need protecting from cold, harsh winds – if planted in containers, simply move the pots to a more sheltered and protected area. Height 2m and spread 1.5m.
