- Blue and white blooms for vibrant ground cover
- Perfect for rockeries and cottage garden borders
- Drought-resistant, low-maintenance spreading plant
This eye-catching variety of phlox is low maintenance, fast-growing and evergreen – perfect for ground cover, rockeries and cottage garden borders that require reliability and masses of flowers! ‘Blue eyes’ matches its title due to the contrasting blue centre that perfectly complements the creamy white petals. Phlox plants are known for their drought resistance and ability to thrive even in the driest of areas! Pot up phlox plants and grow them in frost-free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When they are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions. Grow phlox plants in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi-shade. Incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting. Feed and water regularly, particularly during dry periods, until young phlox plants are fully established. After flowering, lightly shear the stems to encourage lots of fresh new growth.
