- Produces extremely hot chilli peppers
- Perfect for windowsills or sunny patios
- Long red chillies from June to October
This chilli plant may be small and compact, but that doesn’t stop it from providing extreme hotness and spice! Measuring at 100,000 on the Scoville scale, this little plant produces extremely hot chilli peppers, perfect if you like some added spice in your cooking. Although edible, it can make a gorgeous ornamental house plant, and is well-known for growing perfectly on windowsills in the sun. It can also be grown outdoors in a conservatory or greenhouse and bears lots of 3cm long red chillies from June to October. This 12cm plant is ideal for windowsill growing but can also be grown in a greenhouse, polytunnel, or outdoors in a sheltered position in full sun. For windowsill growing, it will crop reliably if kept in its original pot and fed and watered regularly, but potting up will increase your crop. Feed and water pepper plants regularly throughout the growing season to prevent the flower buds from dropping. Harvest peppers singly by cutting them from the plant with secateurs, or pull the entire plant when full of red peppers and hang upside down in the kitchen for use all year long. Peppers grown outdoors must be harvested before the first frost.
