Product Information

  • Pack contains 250 seeds
  • Stringless pods offer sweet flavour and easy preparation for meals
  • Compact habit suits containers and small garden spaces brilliantly
Enjoy growing deliciously sweet and stringless pods with the Thompson and Morgan Pea Kelvedon Wonder Seeds that thrive in containers and offer an early harvest, making them ideal for gardeners looking for easy, high-yield crops in sunny spots. Pea ‘Kelvedon Wonder’ brings neat, disease-resistant plants with clusters of mid green pods up to 8.5cm, perfect for picking fresh from your patio or garden, while their robust nature means you’ll enjoy reliable results even if you’re new to growing peas. With simple care and regular watering, you’ll encourage further cropping and enjoy a bountiful supply for your kitchen. Direct sow peas outdoors from March to June, once the soil has warmed. Choose a weed-free position on moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Sow seed in flat-bottomed drills at a distance of five centimetres apart, and four centimetres deep. Allow a distance of 75cm between rows. For successional crops, sow peas every ten days. Support pea plants with twiggy sticks, wire or netting as they grow, and use fine netting to protect pea crops from birds and pea moth damage. When growing peas, regular and thorough watering, especially when in flower, will improve crop yields. Harvest peas around 14 weeks after sowing when the pods have swollen. Regular picking will encourage further cropping. Product Specifications: Position: Full sun. Height: Up to 75cm when fully established. Spread: Up to 25cm when fully established. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary the results. Images may be included to illustrate supply, but can vary due to seasonal changes (e.g., deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
