- Suitable for sowing outdoors from March to June
- Pack contains approximately 75 seeds
Embark on your gardening adventure now with the Thompson and Morgan Pea Golden Sweet Seeds. It not only offers a delightful flavour but also adds a stunning visual element to any vegetable plot with its golden-yellow pods and attractive lilac-purple flowers. Expect these flavourful pods to develop between late May and early October, perfect for snacking both cooked and raw. Sow mangetout peas directly outdoors from March to June when the soil warms, choosing a sunny spot with moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Plant the seeds in flat-bottomed drills at a spacing of 5cm apart and 4cm deep, leaving 75cm between rows. For a continuous harvest, resow every 10 days. Support the climbing plants with sticks, wire, or netting as they grow, and protect the crops from birds and pea moths using fine netting. Consistent watering, particularly during flowering, will enhance crop yields. Harvest these edible podded peas approximately 12-13 weeks after sowing, when the peas begin to form, and ongoing picking will encourage further growth. This variety thrives in full sun, reaching heights up to 180cm and spreading to around 25cm when fully established, supplied as one packet containing 75 seeds. Images are for guidance only, as results may vary due to different growing conditions. The pack contains approximately 75 seeds.
