Enhance your garden with the vibrant colours from the Thompson and Morgan Papaver Somniferum Hungarian Blue Seeds. The deep violet poppy is an easy-to-grow flower that will enhance any planting scheme. Pair it with pure whites or yellows for a breathtaking contrast that will captivate any observer. When planted in drifts, these poppies create a stunning display, effectively covering a large area. Sow seeds from March to April or August to September for overwintering, with an optimum germination temperature between 60-65°F (15-18°C). Seeds should be scattered outdoors in the intended flowering location in either spring or autumn and thinned to a spacing of 30cm (12 inches) apart. These plants require full sun and thrive in typical garden soil. The product specifications indicate that they are hardy annuals, reaching heights of up to 90cm (35 inches) with a spread of up to 30cm (12 inches). Supplying Poppy ‘Hungarian Blue’ (Papaver Somniferum), each packet contains 500 seeds. Images serve as guidance only, as actual results may differ due to varying growing conditions.
