Beginning as dark burgundy buds, these flowers fade to create an appealing vintage aesthetic. This Indian cress features a spreading and trailing growth habit, making it perfect for garden borders or patio pots where it can elegantly cascade down the sides. It reaches a height of 30cm and a spread of 30cm when fully established. For optimal growth, sow nasturtium seeds directly outdoors from March to May in a sunny spot with well-drained soil that has been finely raked. Space seeds thinly, placing them at a depth of 20mm in drills separated by 30cm. Regular watering is essential, particularly during dry spells, and germination typically occurs within 7 to 12 days.
