Nasturtium Climbing Mixed is a vigorous and quick-growing climber, perfect for long-lasting summer colour. This variety is perfect for growing over walls or covering fences, trellis, and obelisks. Producing frilly blooms that are produced over the summer in a bright colour range including bicolour. Culinary note: The peppery flavour of the leaves and colourful flowers will enrich salads and the unripened seeds can used like capers delicious combined with cream cheese or butter in canapes. Where to sow: Outdoors where they are to flower. Preparation: Prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Sowing: Sow 20mm 3/4in deep, in rows 30cm 12in apart. Growing: Thin out young plants to 23cm 9in apart. Water regularly until plants are fully established. Growing nasturtiums is easy and once established they require little attention. For earlier flowering: Sow in 7.5cm 3in pots of free-draining compost. Place at 1520c 7768F until germination. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after the risk of frost. Before planting into containers, ensure plants are well rooted in their pots. Water regularly until plants are fully established. Growing nasturtiums is easy and once established, they require little attention.
