- Versatile plant suits climbing, trailing or groundcover roles
- Emerald green leaves and wiry stems add year-round texture
- Tolerates coastal winds and salt spray for easy maintenance
Bring a breath of fresh air to any space with the lush, trailing beauty of muehlenbeckia complexa, a versatile plant that thrives as a climber, groundcover or in containers. Its interlacing reddish-brown stems and masses of small emerald-green leaves create a soft, airy look perfect for adding movement and texture to patios, window sills or office desks. In midsummer, you'll enjoy delicate sprays of sweetly scented greenish-white flowers that attract pollinators, while its tolerance of coastal winds and salt spray makes it a robust choice for gardens near the sea. Suitable for both contemporary and traditional settings, this adaptable plant remains evergreen to semi-evergreen in mild areas and is easy to care for with regular watering and a spring feed.
