Thompson & Morgan Lova Schefflera Lava Plant on Wooden Tray

Originating from Australia, this tender house plant brings a natural feel to the home. Lova Schefflera, commonly known as a Lava Plant, owes its name to the lava rock it’s grown upon. The hard stone gives the plant valuable support and nutrients, and adds a decorative element to the home – each one will grow differently, making it perfect for a unique feature. Commonly known as an Umbrella Plant, bright green, palm-like leaves provide year round interest, looking wonderful as a table-top display. Place indoors in a warm/humid spot in indirect sunlight or semi-shade - do not allow it to sit in full sun. These plants take water from the container so reaches the roots; we recommend filling the tray with rainwater, about three quarters of the way full, so the porous rock will absorb it. Mist the leaves regularly to increase humidity. To maintain your plant, you can cut back branches to near the stem, leaving small notches to allow the plant to grow shoots.
