Thompson and Morgan Lilac Josikaea Plant Pot 9cm

Elevate your landscape with the fragrant allure of Thompson and Morgan Lilac Josikaea Plant Pot 9cm. Bring a burst of late spring fragrance and delicate beauty to your garden with this hardy deciduous shrub that thrives in borders, offering small pink scented flowers on slender stems from May to June. A wide arching habit ensures it’ll create a statement, reaching up to 350cm high and wide when fully established, so you’ll want to give it plenty of space. Suited to neutral or alkaline soil and full sun, you can grow it in containers with loam-based compost or plant it directly in borders for a spectacular display. Feed and water regularly while young, prune in winter or spring and mulch after pruning to support healthy growth, and you’ll enjoy its scented blooms year after year. Grow lilac plants in rich, fertile, well-drained, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun. Dwarf Lilac plants may be grown in containers if preferred, using a loam-based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Prune lilac bushes in winter or spring by removing any damaged, diseased or misplaced stems before lightly shaping the remaining stems. After pruning, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the shrub.
