- Excellent alternative to box topiary, resistant to blight and caterpillars
- Fast-growing and easily shaped for dense, topiary forms
- Elegant half-standard lollipop shape ideal for framing features
Bring striking structure and year-round interest to your garden with Thompson & Morgan Ligustrum Delavayanum Plant Pot 9L, shaped into an elegant 40cm half-standard lollipop form. You'll find its glossy, small leaves and vigorous branching make it a joy to train into dense topiary, while its resistance to box blight and box moth caterpillar means you can enjoy a healthier, more resilient alternative to traditional box. Perfect for framing doorways, creating focal points or adding architectural style to patios and borders, this hardy privet standard tree quickly bounces back after winter and even shows off subtle white flowers and glossy black berries in the right conditions. Once established, drought tolerance makes it ideal for low-maintenance container planting. How to Grow Instructions: Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade. Temperature: Hardy in mild areas; provide protection in colder regions. Watering: Water well in dry periods, especially when newly planted. Feeding: Apply a mulch of well-rotted compost or manure in spring. Humidity: Ensure good air circulation; avoid overly wet conditions. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months). Decorative pots are not supplied.
