Product Information

  • Filled with plenty of antioxidants
  • Provides plenty of strong crops from September to January
  • Pack contains approximately 100 seeds
Elevate your cooking with the Thompson & Morgan Leek Murcia Seeds. It offers strong stems and exceptional flavour, packed with antioxidants and vital nutrients, including vitamins A, C, K, and iron. This member of the Allium family yields robust crops from September to January. For the longest stems, plant in the summer and transplant toward the end of August. To start, sow 4-5 seeds indoors in 5cm pots or thinly in a seed tray filled with quality seed compost, covering them with 6mm of vermiculite or compost. Maintain a temperature of 15-20°C (59-68°F) until germination, which typically takes 14-21 days. Once germinated, continue to grow the leek plants in cooler conditions. Alternatively, sow directly outdoors at a depth of 1cm (1/2 inch) in drills spaced 30cm (12 inches) apart in well-prepared soil. When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings from mid-June to mid-July, spacing them 23-25cm (9-10 inches) apart, with 45cm (18 inches) between rows, using a trowel or dibber, and ensure to water thoroughly. This product comes as one packet containing 100 seeds and includes growing and care instructions.
