Create a fragrant haven in your garden by growing compact lavender plants from seed with this Thompson & Morgan Lavender Munstead Seeds. It is bringing a burst of deep blue blooms and a delightful scent to your outdoor space. ‘Munstead’ lavender seeds promise a neat, dwarf variety that’s loved by bees, ideal for hedging and perfect for cutting and drying for home use. With clear growing instructions included, you’ll find it easy to fill borders or containers with aromatic colour from July to August, and enjoy a display that reaches up to 45cm in height and 60cm in spread. How to grow: Sow from late winter to summer. For best results the seeds should be prechilled before sowing. To do this sow the seeds just below the surface of any good compost. Seal the seeds and container inside a polythene bag and place in a fridge (not freezer) for six weeks, checking occasionally to make sure none germinate in the fridge. Then place in a temperature of 15-18C (60-65F). Germination should take one to three months after this. When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 8cm (3in) pots and place in a cold frame. The generous packet includes 110 seeds.
