- Grows up to 1.2m tall and spreads up to 1.5m
- Produces bright yellow blooms in summer
- Features bronze foliage with peachy berries
Rewarding Hypericum Hidcote (St John’s Wort) treats you to a wonderful profusion of yellow flowers which bring a bright burst of colour to the garden throughout the summer months and last well into autumn. Once the flowers start to fade, the foliage develops a bronze hue and is coupled with attractive peach-coloured berries, which are popular among flower arrangers for autumn bouquets. Low maintenance and very unfussy, Hypericum will grow in virtually any soil, in sun or shade. Producing multiple stems from the base, they’re easy to thin out or prune to the right size to suit your garden. Plant St. John’s Wort in any garden soil and in a position that is sheltered from cold winds. Hypericum is a versatile plant that copes well in poor, dry soils and even thrives in deep shade. Feed and water plants regularly throughout the growing season while young Hypericums plants become established. Mature plants require little attention throughout the growing season. Prune St. John's Wort plants back to ground level each spring to allow fresh new growth to develop. Position: Full Sun/Partial Shade. Height: Up to 1.2m when fully established. Spread: Up to 1.5m when fully established. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary the results. Image may be included for illustration of supply, but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
