Product Information

  • Colour changing pink and white blooms
  • Ideal for borders patios or cottage style
  • Hardy shrub with easy yearly pruning
Hydrangea plants are an extremely popular garden plant; This deciduous hardy reliable shrub is easy to grow and offers glorious colour-changing flowers of creamy white and pink shades. Flowering season from July throughout September summertime. Ideal for planting in patio containers, garden borders or creating your own cottage garden scheme. Height and spread: 200cm (78in)Hydrangea paniculata prefers a sunny or semi-shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any non-alkaline, fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. If necessary, Hydrangea paniculata will tolerate hard pruning of the oldest stems to a few buds from ground level. This will also encourage larger flower heads to be produced. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Product Specifications: Position in: Sun or semi-shade, Dappled Shape. Height 200cm. Spread 200cm (78in)Supplied as 1 x 9cm Pot. Delivered with growing and care instructions. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
