- Distinctive tri-coloured flowers
- Slender, pendant blooms features red and white outer sepals
- Flowering season from June to October
Introducing Hardy Fuchsia magellanica Arauco, a very distinctive hardy fuchsia with unusual tri-coloured flowers. The slender, pendant blooms feature red and white outer sepals with contrasting deep purple inner petals, adding a unique touch to any garden. This erect, deciduous shrub is fast-growing and low maintenance, flowering from June through to October, providing a long season of colour in borders, containers, or even as an informal hedging plant. With a height and spread of 75cm (30in), Hardy Fuchsia magellanica Arauco is versatile and adaptable to various garden settings. To grow Hardy Fuchsia magellanica Arauco, start by nurturing the plants in warm, frost-free conditions. Pinch out the growing tips while the fuchsia plants are still small to promote bushier growth and more flowers. Once the plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period before planting them in their final positions in patio containers and sunny or semi-shaded borders. Regular feeding and watering throughout the growing season, along with deadheading faded flowers, will help prolong the flowering period and keep the plants healthy and vibrant. Supplied as 1x, 3x or 6x Plug Plants. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary the results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e. g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months). Decorative pots are not supplied.
