Product Information

  • Naturally compact and bushy growth habit
  • Attractive silvery-blue foliage year-round
  • Ideal for smaller gardens and containers
Eucalyptus trees are a beautiful addition to any garden. Unlike more vigorous types, Eucalyptus gunnii ‘Azura’ is compact and bushy, making it ideal for smaller spaces. You can enjoy its evergreen, silvery-blue foliage year-round, which reflects and glimmers in the light, adding interest to your borders. This variety is exceptionally hardy and can withstand temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F), making it suitable for planting alongside other shrubs or perennials. Florists often use its long stems and attractive leaves in arrangements, so consider snipping a few stems to create a stunning display indoors. When planting eucalyptus trees, choose any fertile, non-alkaline, free-draining soil that retains some moisture. Select a sunny location that is sheltered from cold winds. Water and feed the trees regularly until they are fully established. Once established, eucalyptus trees are relatively drought-tolerant and require less attention. If you’re not using it as a specimen tree, Eucalyptus will benefit from regular pruning in early spring to manage its vigorous growth. Cut back all stems to three buds above soil level or maintain a permanent low framework. Please note: The images provided are for guidance on the expected results as the plants mature. Actual results may vary based on growing conditions. Images may vary due to seasonal changes, such as deciduous plants losing their leaves in colder months.
