Product Information

  • Traps insects with curling sticky stems
  • Perfect for sunny windowsills indoors
  • Ideal to water from below for best growth
The cape sundew works by wrapping its unique stems around any insect that is unfortunate enough to land on the plant and prevents them from escaping. It is a rather interesting sight to behold and with its appealing looks and practical application it is a brilliant addition to any windowsill or sunny spot in the house. We recommend watering this plant from below during the growing season, the best way to do this is to place a saucer filled with 1cm of soft water underneath the potted plant so it can absorb the water through its roots. When the plant is dormant, however, only water when the compost gets dry and make sure the excess water can drain away freely. Product Specifications: Position: Full Sun Height: Up to 15cm when fully established Spread: Up to 20cm when fully established. Supplied as 1 x Drosera Capensis Plant in a 9cm Pot Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months.
