Thompson & Morgan Diascia Apricot Queen Seeds

Brighten every corner of your garden with Thompson & Morgan Diascia Apricot Queen Seeds that keep flowering until early autumn, perfect for rockeries, borders or containers. Diascia 'Apricot Queen' is the first of its kind to grow from seed, producing fabulous flowers above a lush mound of glossy dark-green leaves. Supplied as a packet of approximately eighty seeds, you'll enjoy a long flowering period from June to September and full growing instructions to make sowing simple. How to grow: Germinate at 15-20C (60-68F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Apply a layer of vermiculite, 1.5mm (1/16 inch) deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 14-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. Transplant seedlings, when large enough to handle, into trays or 7.5cm (3 inch) pots. Pinch out growing point when 5 cm (2 inch) tall and again when the side-shoots reach 5cm (2 inch). Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for at least 14 days before planting out. Plant outside after all risk of frost, 15cm (6 inch) apart. As the flowers fade, cut the plants back to ground level to encourage a second flush. Product specifications: Position: Full Sun. Height: Up to 30cm when fully established.
