- Striking perennial thrives in full sun or semi-shade settings
- Tall stems and dense foliage enhance wildlife habitats
- Suitable for pond edges or containers with moist soil
Transform damp corners and pond edges with the bold presence of cyperus longus, a hardy perennial that brings exotic, umbrella-like stems and dense green foliage to water gardens and boggy borders. Watch as reddish-bronze spikelets appear in summer, adding a splash of colour while attracting insects and amphibians for a thriving, wildlife-friendly space. Thriving in water up to 25cm deep or consistently moist soil, this low-maintenance plant only needs old foliage trimmed in autumn, making it a versatile choice for naturalistic garden designs.
