Transform your space with this Cupressus ‘Goldcrest’ Wilma is an RHS AGM variety. It is well known for its excellent garden performance and resilience. The evergreen lime-green foliage and structural, conical shape provide the perfect contrast in mixed borders or shrubberies, lighting up the garden throughout the year – its zingy colour is a particularly lovely sight in winter. Compact in size with a narrow, upright habit, it’s a great choice for a small space or for growing as a hedge, or grow it in containers to provide easy, year-round colour on the patio. The bushy foliage also has a slight lemon fragrance which is released whenever it’s brushed past or crushed and also makes a nice addition to mixed bouquets. Plant out cypress and any well-drained soil in full sun and provide shelter from strong, drying winds. If container-grown, use a good quality soil-based compost such as John Innes No 3 Feed well and nourish the soil prior to planting and water regularly during the first year until established. Applying a mulch at the base of the plant in spring will aid its growth. Position: Full sun. Height: Up to 1.5m to 2.5m when fully established. Spread: Up to 2.5m when fully established.
