To optimise growth and keep the fruits in prime condition, it is advisable to provide these tall plants with climbing support to keep them off the ground. Enjoy them as a refreshing snack or let them mature into larger cucumbers, ideal for summer salads. Outdoor cultivation is suitable for this variety. For greenhouse cucumbers, aim for a warm and humid environment, maintaining a minimum temperature of 15°C (60°F). Outdoor types, or Ridge varieties, thrive when planted outside. When the cucumber plants are well-established, transplant them into grow bags with a spacing of two plants each or maintain a distance of 45cm (18 inches) apart in a warm, humid greenhouse. For outdoor varieties, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting in warm, well-drained, humus-rich soil that receives full sun and is sheltered from winds. In outdoor settings, space plants 90cm (36 inches) apart in single rows, and ensure they are well-watered immediately after planting until they are fully established.
