Crocosmia ‘Harlequin’ is a striking addition to a hot colour scheme, offering intense orange, yellow and red flowers. Its dark stems bear racemes of starry, funnel-shaped flowers with a golden yellow throat and alternating orange and red shades on the reverse of the petals. Easy to grow and reliable, Crocosmias are high-performance border plants, creating intense colour later in summer and through into autumn, whilst also providing interesting foliage with their upright, strap-shaped leaves. Height: 60cm (24 inches). Spread: 10cm (4 inches). Grow Crocosmia in rich, fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi-shade. If necessary, improve soils by adding plenty of well-rotted manure prior to planting. Plant height and spread are seasonal; therefore, we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size.
