Thompson & Morgan Courgette Orelia F1 6 Seeds Packet

Transform your garden with the Thompson & Morgan Courgette Orelia F1 6 Seeds Packet. Courgette 'Orelia' produces slender, golden-skinned fruit throughout the summer months. It's virtually spine-free stems and foliage simplify the picking process. This heavy-cropping variety, known for its vigorous open habit, demonstrates excellent resistance to mildew late in the season. Regular watering is essential; avoid allowing the soil to dry out, as this can hinder development. Frequent hoeing between plants helps prevent weeds from establishing. To promote growth, apply a high-potash fertiliser every two weeks during the growing season. While hand pollination is not typically necessary when growing outdoors, for indoor cultivation, female flowers can be fertilised by gently pressing a male flower against them. Begin harvesting courgettes from mid-summer when they reach a length of 10cm (4 inches). Regular harvesting encourages further production. As a culinary note, courgette flowers are edible and can be enjoyed cooked or added raw to salads.
